The salary range for this role is:

$62,986.56 - $103,906.40

Responsibilities:

We are on a Maintenance & Reliability cultural journey to maximize our equipment uptime and reduce the life cycle costs of our assets. This is a fantastic time to join the team as we will be developing, piloting, and validating what we want our Asset Management program to be. Once we have established our program the Vibration Analyst will observe and diagnose machine failures through vibration data and take appropriate action to mitigate unplanned downtime, extend lifespan, and save costs. This position will also support the development of a control room and the PdM Strategy for the entire enterprise (6 site locations: California, Washington, Wisconsin, Mexico). This position is based out of our Modesto, CA location.

  • Manages the setup of Predictive Diagnostic Maintenance (PdM) routes; identify the appropriate data collection tool i.e., thermography, ultrasound, oil analysis, and vibration analysis, and collect and analyze equipment failure data and trends. Utilizing data, communicates results demonstrating impacts and provides guidance on corrective and/or preventive actions. Advises respective facility/production team necessary action required to mitigate unplanned downtime events based from PdM analysis and documented in CMMS system.
  • Conducts root cause analysis to solve reliability problems and validate with data. Communicates findings and provides recommendations to maintenance managers, engineers, and operations. Determines strategy and manages internally or engages external agencies.
  • Collaborates with Maintenance Planners and Schedulers, Storeroom, and Maintenance Execution teams to validate unplanned and planned corrective work repairs.
  • Incorporates predictive maintenance design for reliability and maintainability concepts into new assets.
  • Collaborates with Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to implement appropriate PdM technology to detect failure patterns.
  • Continually evaluates and enhances the Predictive Maintenance Diagnostics program and processes when necessary and based on needs such as equipment changes, upgrades, and as required by the business.
  • Manages major PdM projects, involving delegation of work and review of work products, at times acting as a team leader.
  • Manages any follow up work requests from site audits, quality walks, etc.
  • Quality and Food Safety - provides support for overall responsibility for finished product quality, food safety and legality, within functional area. Maintain standards and adjust processes to meet Del Monte standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • ISO Category II Certification from an accredited certification provider.
  • 3 - 5 or more years vibration discipline experience in solving machine problems using vibration analysis within a food manufacturing setting or comparable industry.
  • Experience with CBM technologies: laser alignment, thermography, NDT, lubricant analysis, and other technical/mechanical experience.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Ability to identify potential safety and quality hazards and take the necessary steps to mitigate them.
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization. Strong partnership with production planners, storeroom, maintenance teams, and outside contractors will be required.
  • Prior experience with a CMMS or PM tracking system.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook.

Preferred Skills:

  • SAP experience and/or Super User Trained.
  • CAT III Vibration Analyst: 5 or more years vibration discipline experience.
  • Other PdM Certifications from accredited certification providers: Ultrasound Examination, Oil Analysis, Thermography.
  • Knowledge of Precision Maintenance.
  • CMRP Certification
