ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supports Flying Probe Testers by creating programs, running calibrations, and supporting training of technicians.
  • Develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.
  • Evaluates manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; occasionally conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
  • Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; occasionally conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, or related subject.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an electronics assembly environment.
  • Minimum of 2 year of experience collecting, organizing and evaluating data.
  • Previous SMT or Flying Probe experience would be a plus.
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
  • Maintains product and process data base by writing computer programs, entering data.
  • Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
The pay range for this role in Carlsbad, CA is between $67,900.00 and $89,145.00. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
