Overview

TRC serves a broad range of clients in industry and government, implementing complex projects from initial concept to delivery and operation.


Responsibilities

  • Applies knowledge of professional and technical concepts to projects in multiple disciplines such as civil, electrical, process instrumentation and pipeline construction management.
  • Attends pre-construction site visits during design stages, providing knowledge to team in the area of drawing updates, schedule revisions, and scope direction.
  • Leads Project kick-off and weekly construction progress meetings and publishes meeting notes with field records on a Project basis.
  • Ensures Construction Contractors follow their approved SSSPs and enforces all Project permit conditions and all safety regulations.
  • Monitors daily construction activities and ensures the construction operations meet the program's safety, quality, cost and schedule goals. Utilizes Unifier, update any assigned projects, reviews workload analysis reports for action, and manages full planning process from inception via request for contract.
  • Reviews Construction Contractor RFP's to confirm resources, scope, schedule, and cost are justifiable. Compiles internal drawings and relevant data for the RFP and contract processes.
  • Oversees the Inspection Process for construction work. Coordinates the work of field inspectors and technicians to ensure resource availability.
  • Ensures all field records, including quality control documents, are approvable in meeting client standards.
  • Ensures both Construction Contractors' and Contractors' invoices accurately reflect work performed. Approves time sheets and invoices for managed field services.
  • Provides constructability reviews, cost development, and resource loading.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineer, Mechanical or Electrical (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the field project engineer experience on construction management projects in the following industries: Gas Distribution, Gas Pipeline, Water/Wastewater, or petrochemical.
  • Knowledge of industrial construction materials, piping materials, process piping, gas transmission/distribution systems, conveyance pipeline construction, both metallic and plastic welding processes
  • Ability to understand, interpret and communicate civil, electrical, mechanical construction procedures, process instrumentation, work methods, standards, policies, and guidelines.

Salary and Benefits

In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $50/hr. - $55/hr. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
