The Sr. Field Enablement Specialist - Public Sector Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Sales Enablement, the Sr. Field Enablement Specialist will be focused on support for our Public Sector Sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales enablement, a deep understanding of the Public Sector landscape, and a passion for driving sales success through effective training, content development, and sales support initiatives.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and execute sales enablement strategies tailored to the unique needs and challenges of the Public Sector within the Identity Space.
  • Collaborate closely with sales leadership to understand sales priorities, identify areas for improvement, and develop targeted enablement programs.
  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and materials to educate sales teams on product offerings, market trends, competitive positioning, and customer personas.
  • Create compelling sales content, including presentations, that effectively communicates the value proposition and differentiation of our identity solutions for the Public Sector.
  • Partner with product management, marketing, and subject matter experts to ensure sales collateral is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with company messaging and branding guidelines.
  • Become a subject matter expert on our identity solutions and the Public Sector market while providing ongoing support and guidance to sales teams throughout the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations to analyze sales performance metrics, identify trends/insights, and leverage data to continuously refine and optimize sales enablement initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive developments, and regulatory changes impacting the Public Sector identity space, and incorporate relevant insights into sales enablement activities.
  • Act as a liaison between sales, marketing, product management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration on sales enablement initiatives.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales enablement and/or sales training role preferably within the technology or identity space.
  • 1+ years of direct experience working within the Public Sector market in either a sales or sales enablement role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex concepts and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive projects to completion on time and within budget.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and measure the effectiveness of sales enablement programs.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Comfortable with travel as needed (roughly 10%).

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following!

  • Experience working with remote and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Relevant certifications in sales enablement, project management, or related areas.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:
$99,000$149,000 USD
The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$111,000$167,000 USD
