As a Phlebotomist of the Support Services Laboratory, your duties include: * Performs pre-analytical and post-analytical activities and specimen processing duties * Performs phlebotomy on inpatients and outpatients, including neonatal/pediatric patients; perform EKG in outpatient setting * Triage all lab samples and requests after verification of appropriate information * Enter and verify patient and test info into computer * Generate computer labels for specimens and deliver to appropriate areas * Prepare samples for transport to referral labs * Document draws, added tests, and cancelled/rejected specimens Salary Range: $32.48 - $41.19/hour
Qualifications

* Current and valid California State CPT certificate * High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED or HiSET) * At least two(2) years of licensed phlebotomy experience in high volume hospital setting * Previous experience performing specimen processing in an acute care facility, highly preferred * Previous experience in EPIC, highly preferred * Knowledge of Clinical Lab test names and their abbreviated forms * Ability to multi-task with accuracy * Excellent time and organizational skills * Skill in using a computer and printer
