Beyond Yoga operates as a standalone brand with the benefit of LS&Co.'s global capabilities to help it achieve its goals of brand-building, store opening, category expansion and distribution.

We are looking for a talented Vice President, Merchandising with a proven track record of driving results to lead our merchandising strategy and execution on a global scale. This leader will be pivotal in shaping our product architecture, assortment and line plans across e-commerce, stores, and Wholesale team ensuring our product portfolio aligns with our brand values and drive brand growth. As an essential role within the merchandising leadership team, this role will require the ability to lead and do, to influence and partner, and to listen and respond. You have an understanding of our brand and our consumers, and an ability to move where the consumer is heading with an informed understanding of what's now and what's next.

About The Job
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global merchandising strategy that aligns with Beyond Yoga, provide category strategies, big ideas and assortments that guide both relevancy and revenue. Continuously analyze market trends and customer feedback to make data-driven and insights-informed assortment decisions.
  • Own the product architecture, both present and forward-looking, including the lifecycle and the seasonal line plans. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure that the product architecture aligns with market trends, innovation, and customer preferences.
  • Design and manage a product lifecycle management strategy that maximizes the lifespan and profitability of each product. This includes planning for product launches, growth phases, and eventual discontinuation. Partner with planning to minimize excess inventory and markdowns through effective end-of-life product strategies.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that optimize margins while remaining competitive. Monitor and adjust pricing strategies based on market dynamics and customer behavior.
  • Closely partner with design, marketing, product development, finance, and other departments to align merchandising efforts with overall business strategies. Ensure seamless communication and cooperation across teams by ensuring teams are focused on high leverage activities that create the largest return, remaining focused on the consumer against a shorter GTM and streamlined milestones.
  • Continuously conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify gaps and opportunities in the product portfolio. Stay informed about emerging to inform product architecture and lifecycle planning. Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions, track performance metrics, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead a highly engaged, high-performing merchandising team. Provide a platform for the team to grow laterally and vertically through experience and exposure. Establish clear decision authorities and ensure diversity and inclusion remains front of mind.

About You
  • Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (15+ years) in merchandising leadership roles
  • Experience working within retail stores, e-commerce, and wholesale channel.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving business growth through merchandising strategies.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to position yourself as a collaborative and trusted business partner. Ability to establish strong relationships at all levels throughout the organization and cross-functionally.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $210,500-$326,900. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
