Main Purpose of the Position:

The Campus Planning Program Manager will partner with the Head of Campus & Scenario Planning, Workplace Strategy & Integration Squads, as well as other Real Estate & Workplace Effectiveness and Site Services Teams, to develop and manage strategic, creative space and occupancy solutions that enable Genentech's business outcomes and support our Campus Plan.

The Opportunity:

  • Campus Drop-In Program:

    • Focus Zones Program Owner: responsible for the business case, implementation, continuous improvement, and measurement of our on-campus Focus Zone program throughout campus

    • Collaboration Zones: partner with Workforce Services/Managed Meeting Services on the measurement, business case & implementation of our collaboration zone program across campus

    • Partner with Roche colleagues to enable the sharing of both programs within the Roche Network

  • GAP (Gray-Area Projects) Program:

    • Working with Space Planners & Client Squads, responsible for managing GAP and GAP+ Programs, including prioritization, benchmarking & report-outs

  • Space Planning Processes. Responsible for ensuring that processes around occupancy data, group moves, work orders, etc., work smoothly, continuous improvement efforts are practiced, and all processes are documented in GRITS (Genentech's RE&WE Instructional Tool for Space Planning)

  • Lead cross-functional building & campus re-stack projects and responsible to ready environments & amenity spaces across campus

  • Occupancy Data Integrity:

    • Responsible Lead of quarterly occupancy audits to ensure information pertaining to department locations, individuals, space contacts, and configuration of spaces are accurate and up to date in CAFM system; furniture and space condition issues are reported to Site Services partners

    • Manage and continuously improve processes around allocation planning information in CAFM system and ensure data accuracy

  • Partner with Workplace Strategy & Integration Squads on client engagement related to occupancy planning, storytelling, and business case development

  • Leverage expertise to flow to high-priority work within the Workplace Strategy & Integration Squads for client work and the Real Estate Strategy Team for site projects, as needed

  • Campus & Scenario Planning and related activities, as needed, including:

    • Occupancy scenario planning & option development

    • Stack planning

    • Block planning, including analysis of office/cube ratios, neighborhood ratios

    • Neighborhood planning

    • Review & understand space utilization; story-telling with data

    • Adjacency mapping

    • Migration planning

    • Supply/demand planning, analysis & summaries

    • Quarterly review of headcount shifts, including executive summaries, detailed scenario charts & graphs, etc.

    • Assist with executive presentations on occupancy planning studies, 5-year occupancy plan, RE & WE Project Pipeline & Governance, etc.

Who You Are:

  • 8-10 years of experience in Space & Occupancy Planning, Strategy Planning, Facility Planning

  • Proficient in Google Apps, SmartSheets & CAFM/ARCHIBUS

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; is good at promoting an idea or vision, persuading & expressing ideas fluently and eloquently.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Tableau

  • Is adept and understands how to navigate a complex organization

Relocation benefits for this position are not available. Full time work from home is not available for this position.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $109,800.00 - $203,800.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
