To be a successful product marketer is to be savvy of technology industry dynamics and trends, a messaging expert, a constant collaborator with a wide variety of teams, and a creative producer of content that cuts across product positioning to industry commentary.

vSphere is the world's undisputed market leading server virtualization and cloud compute platform. In the past few years, vSphere has been massively evolving and transforming to ensure our customers are ready for the next decade and more. Examples of this transformation include embedding Kubernetes in vSphere making both VMs and containers first class citizens on the platform, transformation of vSphere to run AI workloads, through partnerships with key vendors such as NVIDIA, Intel and IBM. This role puts you in the driver's seat as the product marketer driving vSphere marketing efforts in multiple high growth areas, including in partnership with industry-leading vendors. Responsibilities:

  • Drive vSphere marketing in multiple high focus areas, in partnership with industry-leading vendors

  • Develop positioning,messagingand collateral for vSphere product line that resonates with customers, communicating product features/capabilities in terms and categories that customers understand, care about and are willing to pay for

  • Identify and market to key use cases, anddeliver key storylines and collateral to customers, field sales, andpartners

  • Create targeted messaging and collateral to reach key personas to develop awareness/interest

  • Drive and provide support for productlaunches

  • Conduct research and message testing

  • Deliver vSphere sessions at industry events, webcasts, EBCs to customers andprospects

  • Partner with corporate/portfolio/partner marketing teams on select campaign and GTMefforts

  • Support joint marketing initiatives with select vSphere Technology Partners

  • Innovate with key stakeholders on blog and community engagementstrategy

  • Work with a cross-functional team (e.g., communications, enablement, services, alliances, product management, sales, channel partners, and engineering) to drive successful productreleases

Required Skills:

  • Over 10 years of work experience in product marketing, product management, or equivalent experience in the enterprise software technology industry, with experience in product launches and product cycles.

  • MBArequired, with Bachelor's degreein Computer Science or equivalent.

  • Strong background in IT infrastructure, and in-depthunderstanding of relevant customer personas.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to translate technology features into business benefits. Previous experience interacting with and presenting to C-levelexecutives.

  • Experience enabling or engaging with enterprise-class sales teams andchannels.

  • Proven analytical skills and strategic thinking. Demonstrated ability to develop creative / non-traditionalsolutions.

  • Strong leader,self-starterand proven team player in a high paced and achievement-oriented environment.

  • Intellectual curiosity & willingness to take end-to-end ownership of agenda anddeliverables.

Additional Job Description:

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $126,000 - $210,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
