Senior Consultant Engineer
Your tasks

Senior Consultant - Property Loss Control - Fire Protection Risk Engineer

Company Location: Western US - Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle Areas (Remote)

TUV SUD GRC, a global leader in property loss control, has an immediate opening for a Senior Consultant, Property Loss Control, based in the United States in a remote position in the western United States.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Conducts Loss Control Surveys for prospects and clients.

Provides peer-review of client reports and correspondence.

Assists in or complete training for other consultants.

May make client and/or business public presentations (oral and written).

Participates in assigned sales and marketing efforts.

May prepare and present proposals.

Consult internally as a technical resource for other employees.

Performs peer reviews.

Serves as a technical resource for other consultants.

May prepare proposals with assistance and direction from Managing Consultant or Account Services Leader.

May develop service instructions.

Solicits client feedback on service prepares stewardship reports.

May produce proposals and sales support material.

May critique reports and inform management of technical problems noted.

Reports directly to Managing Consultant.

Your qualifications

This job may be for you if you:

Hold or are working toward Professional Engineer License and/or Certified Safety Professional designation

Have extensive fire protection or property risk consulting experience and a 4-year college degree.

Possess training and presentation capabilities.

Have advanced writing skills.

Possess advanced technical skills such as sprinkler design or calculation knowledge, computer and data management expertise, and written program development.

Have cross-discipline knowledge.

Can apply technical knowledge to client needs to assist in the business decision-making processes.

Typically bends, stoops, crouches crawls on a regular basis to view settings on machinery and/or inspect facilities.

May require lifting, carrying, or otherwise moving and positioning objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to climb ladders of upwards to three stories tall or more, move or dislodge heavy and/or corroded objects such as roof hatches, traverse catwalks, constantly move about clients' worksites to gather information for survey reports.
