Working closely with the Executive team - and leveraging your data engineering, analysis, and visualization expertise - you will pave the way to establish an analytics ecosystem, deploy advanced analytics solutions, and set a standard of excellence for years to come.

Success will be measured by your ability to free our data from data jail, enable users to self-serve, and enlighten Executives with new business insights that reduce costs and drive revenue!

Your presence is an advantage that uplifts our teams - you'll need to work on-site from Frontier's headquarters, at 1919 McKinney Ave in Dallas, TX.

What we need in you:

You're a creative, determined technologist who embraces uncertainty and "the unknown". You have a reputation for curiosity, tenacity, and figuring things out. Data is your passion and can operate skillfully as a data engineer, data scientist, and visual analyst. You thrive on collaborating with stakeholders to build business intelligence solutions they love and use over and over again! You know that sometimes the best thing to do is simply talk to someone over a cup of coffee, or pick up the phone and call. And, when push comes to shove, you don't shy away from doing the right thing.

Bottom line, you're an ethical, energetic, high-performer who is:

  • Experienced in building a data ecosystem from the ground up
  • Well-versed in the procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, demand planning, inventory management, logistics, and vendor management functions of a Fortune 500-sized company
  • Skilled in switching to a "heads up" role, collaborating with stakeholders, leading cross-functional teams, and representing our organization in the Enterprise data community
  • Proficient in the Data Engineering, Data Analysis & Visualization, Data Science, and Project Management disciplines
  • Energized by ambiguous, uncertain situations and the opportunity to influence & create clarity
  • Entrepreneurial and willing to venture into new undertakings

What you'll do:

  • Identify and mine reliable internal and external data
  • Design, build, and maintain ETL and centralized data ecosystem for disparate procurement and supply chain systems
  • Research, operationalize, and automate organizational KPIs
  • Create, publish, and maintain self-serve, visual dashboards, automated reporting, and other analytics products for Procurement and Supply Chain teams
  • Develop predictive and prescriptive models to forecast trends, ID opportunities, and improve decision-making
  • Optimize database and query performance to support complex analytical models and reduce computation times
  • Leverage advanced statistical techniques to analyze complex datasets, extracting insights that drive strategic decisions
  • Amaze senior Executives with insights leading directly to actions that reduce costs
  • Craft machine learning, geospatial, and RPA solutions
  • Lead cross-functional project teams using core project management practices
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other departments to improve business outcomes
  • Forge the foundation for AI enablement through exceptional data governance and stewardship
  • Advise, support, and lead future business intelligence and AI projects

  • Salary Range: $63,000 - $151,000
  • 20 PTO (Paid Time Off) days + 10 paid holidays per year

What background you should have:

  • BACHELOR'S Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field AND 5+ YEARS of data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques, machine learning, automated reporting & data visualization

    • OR MASTER'S Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field AND 3+ YEARS of data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques, machine learning, automated reporting & data visualization)

    • OR DOCTORATE in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field AND 1+ YEAR(S) data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques, machine learning, automated reporting & data visualization)

    • OR Equivalent Experience
  • Demonstrable skill in Microsoft solutions supporting Business Intelligence including Azure, Fabric, Power BI, Power Query, and Access.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • Demonstrable skill in data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python, Perl), statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.), and development languages used (e.g. Java, JavaScript, especially D3.js, ApexCharts.js, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in data engineering & data system development, designing & deploying ETL processes, managing data warehouse solutions, deploying Machine Learning models, and overseeing data quality
  • 3+ years' experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, demand planning, inventory management & logistics
  • Professional Data Science certifications such as CAP, SDS, PDS, CSA or similar
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Data Scientist Associate
  • Demonstrable skill in development languages used in advanced data visualizations (e.g. Java, JavaScript, especially D3.js, ApexCharts.js, etc.)
  • Experience with RPA solutions (e.g. UIPath)
  • Experience with data analytics & preparation software solutions (e.g. Alteryx)
  • Experience with Geospatial software (e.g. Mapbox)
  • Advanced skills in visual design and practical knowledge of leading data visualization practices
