Position Summary & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the Head of Procurement and Sourcing will be an exceptionally capable leader dedicated to driving operational excellence across the organization. This role will require building out the centralized procurement operations organization with responsibility for all direct and indirect goods and services. This role will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating the purchasing strategy, supervising teams of subordinate staff in purchasing, operations and logistics, and ensuring all employees and processes meet the Company's standards and designations for work quality. The Head of Procurement and Sourcing will need to drive automation and digitalization while developing and implementing standardized processes across the organization. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, front-line leader with the executive presence to establish immediate credibility with suppliers and other Resilience cross-functional senior leaders. The ideal candidate is also a highly motivated, energetic, and experienced individual.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, own, and communicate a clear vision for the global procurement function
  • Develop and own the execution of a global procurement strategy, including but not limited to: identifying necessary resources (people and capital); assessing opportunities against business objectives; and determining creative means to implement new and innovative technical and process-based solutions
  • Establish essential guidelines for approving purchase orders, setting purchasing policies, managing inventory, and budgeting for materials
  • Define strategic action areas, measures, and execution to optimize the global procurement strategy
  • Monitor, review, and analyze bids and quotes with suppliers, including the negotiation of service agreements and contracts
  • Discover profitable suppliers andinitiatebusiness and organizationpartnerships
  • Negotiate with external vendors to secureadvantageousterms
  • Partner with other functions to develop and drive process streamlining and enhanced digitalization
  • Work with business and functional partners to develop targets and drive organization adherence
  • Develop process for periodic review of procurement performance and provide governance for process adoption and business demand, using operationalized KPIs and other supporting analytics
  • Create a high-performing operating culture throughout the organization, including leading cross-functional teams and mentoring, coaching, and motivating others
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at the local and global levels; manage stakeholder engagement and alignment throughout the end-to-end sourcing process

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in senior procurement or supply chain management roles in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading complex, global teams in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently
  • Extensive experience in category/supplier management, forward sourcing, and both production and non-production-material sourcing
  • Cross-site international business experience
  • Exemplary interpersonal and high self-monitoring skills. Must be able to collaborate successfully across the company and different cultures internationally
  • Be comfortable and able to make tough decisions that may not be popular, but protects the business
  • Proven expertise in mentoring/development, change management, planning/organizing, managing execution, and revising the work plan for complex problems solved by cross functional teams
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency to support inquiries with accurate, well-structured, and analytical-driven summaries of insights within noticeably short periods of time
  • Demonstrated willingness to roll up sleeves to and do the work vs. manage, while building out the function
  • Ability to prioritize and direct limited resources to the most critical areas and issues
  • Strong operational capability and sense of urgency to drive completion and achievement of annual departmental initiatives
  • Experience working across different systems and applications lacking true end-to-end integration
  • Experience with ERP and other foundational system implementations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering. An MBA or equivalent Master's degree preferred
  • 15+ years experience leading complex, global teams in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $210,000.00 - $277,500.00 per year. Actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and knowledge.
