Minimum Experience/Minimum Education: Two Year College Degree in Safety/Science/Construction or Five Years of Safety Management Experience or Equivalent Work Experience.
Certifications: STSC, CHST (Will Help to Certify Candidate with Equivalent Work Experience)
Ability to pass drug test
Must possess a current driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Summary of Position: Health & Safety Specialist for City & County, State, Federal, and Private Industry Construction Projects
Duties/Responsibilities:
Construction Site Safety Inspections
Writing and Reviewing Site Specific Safety Plans
Management and Conducting of Employee Safety Training
Acquisition, Distribution and Inventory Management of safety supplies
Management of Safety Monitors, Meters, and Equipment
Conduct Field Testing per Corporate Safety, Health, and Environmental Plan
Participation in Corporate Safety Committee
Ensure Compliance with all Local, State, & Federal Safety and Environmental Regulations
Anticipates and interprets customer needs to identify solutions, resolves standard and non-standard problems
Sets priorities to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with supervisors and clients
Works within budget to meet safety and operational objectives set by the Area Manager and reports daily activities
Qualifications:
College Degree in Science or Safety Related Studies or Equivalent Work Experience
Must be able to work in team environment
Has proficiency or will develop proficiency in Construction Safety including but not limited to OSHA 1926 & 1910 and EM 385 1-1.
Understanding and ability to use the following computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point
Has the ability to adapt to changes quickly
Strong communication skills
Ability and willingness to travel inter-island
