Danfoss Drives is currently looking for our next Regional Sales Manager.North America is one of Danfoss Drives "High Growth Regions". We are THE leading manufacturer of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) with more than 30m Drives manufactured globally. We are seeking an experienced Sales Development Manager with skills to develop business and grow our core Industrial verticals, such as Food and Beverage, Chemical Oil and Gas and Heavy Industry. The SDM will contribute to driving a growth transformation by focusing on end users, large Industrial OEM, Engineering Firms (EPCs) and System Integrators.

The Regional Sales Manager will identify, develop, and win business at assigned key accounts and meet forecast sales goals. Leading the customer acquisition efforts in major strategic sales programs will be a key initiative, as well as, building and maintaining strong partnerships with Danfoss HVAC/R customers. This is a Remote position.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Manages and develops HVAC/R business at specified accounts utilizing Danfoss' value selling sales processes and programs.
  • Develops customer relationships and acts as primary field sales representative for Danfoss, driving growth in specific accounts and/or a designed geographical area.
  • Deeply understands customer's structure, products and decision-making processes and creates a rapport within all levels of customers.
  • Ensures that Danfoss provides a "Unique Customer Experience" by orchestrating all Danfoss relations and contacts to the customer.
  • Possesses a level of competence necessary to comprehend and communicate technical and commercial aspects of the Danfoss' HVAC and Commercial Refrigeration products/solutions.
  • Leads coordination for specified direct activities across Danfoss business segments, if required by sales management

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Engineering or relevant years of industry experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience selling variable frequency drives to customers in the Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning markets in the US.
  • Experience working with Customer Relationship Management and sales management systems.
  • Knowledgeable in dealing with all levels of customer organizations in a technical product environment.
  • Self-motivated, possessing a high energy level and a desire to achieve goals beyond what is required.
  • Business acumen around sales forecasting, opportunity management and customer planning.
  • Ability to listen, gain trust and bring to closure an action, project, resolution, or sales with customers.
  • Ability to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Strong process discipline, ability to align planning objectives with a pipeline development process to grow and develop market revenue.
  • Ability to work in a cross culture, with diverse nationalities in a matrix communications environment.
  • Knowledge and pre-existing relationships within the Northeastern region of the USA is a plus.
  • Travel requirement 60% primarily in the US with some internationally as required.
