Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Manages a variety of general office accounting activities and responsible for accounts receivable for IL/AL and accounts payable. Compiles and maintains records by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

* Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction.

* Obtains and mails invoices and statements for residents. Explains resident statements to new residents as necessary. Answers all resident inquiries.

* Prepares analysis of accounts, as required. Assists in monthly closings.

* Checks and approves all vouchers for payment.

* Answers all vendor and resident inquiries.

* Prepares accounts payable checks. Prints accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.

* Calls and/or mail correspondence to vendors as necessary in order to update accounts

* Prepares daily cash deposits and fills out cash control sheets Performs bank deposits and files bank receipts.

* Maximizes office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications.

* Obtains and mails invoices and statements for residents timely and accurately.

* Prepares activities reports for guidance of management.

* Calls and/or mails correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamental of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry; ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedures manuals, safety rules and maintenance instructions; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization

* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
