Job Summary
The UCSF PMO is an internal business advisory unit of skilled professionals who provide consulting services to the UCDF campus. The PMO works with central leaders, the schools and department staff to implement both campus-wide and unit specific operational improvements. The PMO's consulting services include strategic planning, business process improvement, systems implementations, and organizational restructuring. The PMO is a recharge unit that bills for all of its services, delivering between 50-75 discrete projects per year. The PMO portfolio and department operations require significant financial management support and general operations coordination.
The PMO Financial Analyst (FA) will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of portfolio of projects. With guidance from the Senior Program Manager but working independently, the FA handles a broad range of financial and general program operations responsibilities. The FA uses skills as a seasoned, experienced financial services professional with a full understanding of industry practices and organizational policies and procedures. Resolves a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
The successful candidate has experience working on large Information Technology projects financial management, knowledge of fund accounting principles, and strong data analysis skills and reporting.
The hourly compensation range for this role is $32.09-$68.87. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate, position requirements, AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.
