Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to join our Cyber Intel team in Laurel, MD. This candidate should be a self-motivated individual who proactively completes tasks with strong attention to detail. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team of 5-6 person team, working closely with customers. The candidate will be exposed to a vareity of technologies depending on customer requirements. A successful candidate for this poitions has Linux experience in a containerized cloud environment. Additionally, agile development, Jira and Confluence experience would also be a benefit. The candidate will provide infrastructure system administration support for Jupyter Notebook, an open source developed, web-based data science platform that supports DIY analytics. They will be expected to montior the application, pull logs on AWS and restart containers as needed, troubleshoot and resolve operations issues, and create automation scripts and documentation as needed in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

    An active TS/SCI security clearnace with polygraph is required.
  • Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
    • Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
  • Experiene in the following is highly desired:
    • Containerization and Orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes)
    • Well grounded Linux Fundamentals
    • Cloud System Administration (AWS preferred or similar experience Azure, Google Cloud)
    • Ruby on Rails
    • Python Scripting
    • Gitlab
    • Java Prgramming
    • Agile Development
    • Elasticearch/Kibana

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
