LinQuest is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. An active SECRET clearance is required. The ideal candidate will be located in the San Diego, CA area, however, working from any LinQuest operating location is acceptable with potential telework available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) program office in reviewing, assessing, and testing of design solutions supporting the program's ground control infrastructure in implementing Cisco and Microsoft applications.
  • Provide capability designs for operating systems, commercial network hardware and software (CISCO and Microsoft) in execution of obsolescence and collapsing network devices (architecture, routers, switches, firewalls) for MUOS unclassified enclaves.
  • Serve as technical expert on executive-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives, and will need to think independently and demonstrate exceptional written and oral communications skills.
  • Work with a dispersed team
  • Travel up to 25% of the time to support program implementation and test events.
  • Ideally, the candidate will be located in the San Diego, CA area, however, working from any LinQuest operating location is acceptable.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 15 years Systems Engineering
  • 10 years cyber security
  • SECRET Clearance required
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields (experienced considered in lieu of degree)
  • Red Hat/Microsoft integration
  • Roaming Profiles
  • Design, verification, and validation of cyber security systems
  • Requirements analysis
  • Cyber security and resiliency design for Microsoft environments
  • Border Gateway Protocol

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Voice over IP implementation
  • SATCOM experience
  • CCNP
  • MCSE
  • Experience in designing Cisco and Microsoft implementations on large, complex network infrastructures supporting applications hosted in cloud environments.

Compensation:

  • The salary for this position ranges from approximately $160,000 to $190,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
