Title: Payroll Manager

Salary:$75-115k (Depending on Experience)

Job Description:The Payroll Manager is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of the bi-weekly payroll. Works directly with General Managers and Corporate team to ensure an efficient and accurate payroll process.

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately processes the bi-weekly payroll for all hotel locations.
  • Provide guidance related to Federal, State, and local payroll compliance, including tax withholding and garnishments.
  • Lead the key annual audits
  • Process termination and manual checks
  • Identify recommendations to scale processes to enhance payroll operational efficiency including the design and implementation of internal controls and maintain payroll polices procedures.
  • Maintain payroll inbox and answer employee questions in a timely manner.
  • Effectively maintains all payroll documentation, ensuring adherence to company policy and applicable local, state and federal laws.
  • Prepares and processes all manual payroll check requests
  • Process wage garnishments.
  • Researches and reconciles any payroll-related discrepancies.
  • Create, runs, and distribute payroll related reports.
  • Conducts payroll-related audits
  • Maintains payroll files
  • Trains new General Managers in Payroll process
  • Create new Payroll SOP's and recommends best practices
  • Communicates any Payroll issues to Operations team and General Managers
  • Maintains the Payroll Scorecard
  • Works closely with Accounting to resolve any discrepancies
  • Works closely with HR and Operations team
  • Reconciles monthly billing statements from insurance providers, resolves discrepancies, reviews bills for accuracy, and codes for payment.
  • Administers COBRA plan in collaboration with the third-party vendor.
  • Manages 401(k) retirement savings plan. Ensure employee data is accurate in system.
  • Assists with the coordination of the annual open enrollment process.
  • Prepares and distributes year-end W-2s and W-2cs ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws.
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field of study.
  • Work Experience: 2-4 years applicable Payroll/HR/Benefits experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience utilizing Paycom is highly desired.
  • Consistently demonstrates an adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude and demeanor at all times.
  • If effective presenting information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and projects.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
