Experienced Non-Manager

Position Summary: The material handler will perform regular inventory audits and analyses in the ERP system. Assist with weekly and monthly cycle counting. Monitor and review on hand inventory levels and request replenishment as needed. Review work orders/jobs daily to ensure accurate material counts. Ensure all material has been issued to jobs to maintain proper data in the company ERP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring inventory levels and requesting replenishment of stock as needed.
  • Adhere to existing inventory control systems and practices.
  • Forecasting supply and demand requirements to ensure stock availability.
  • Tracking inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstocking and out-of-stock (OOS).
  • Perform daily/weekly cycle counts and record required adjustments.
  • Performing daily/weekly stock checks and reporting any issues to the Supervisor/Accounting/Purchasing.
  • Maintaining and updating records of job travelers and inventory records.
  • Help support shipping and receiving on a case by case basis.
  • Required participation in internal training as needed to perform the duties assigned to this role.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
  • U.S. Person status required do to export control
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong understanding of inventory control systems and manufacturing inventory control.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory handling, material control, manufacturing industry, warehousing, logistics, or similar.
  • Excellent knowledge of inventory management software such as NetSuite, Fishbowl or similar ERP
  • Exceptional understanding of inventory management practices such as ABC analysis, FIFO and cycle counting.
  • Good analytical and logistical thinking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional collaboration and negotiation abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Capable of standing and or sitting for extended periods of time
  • Must be well organized, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Must thrive in a team-oriented and deadline-driven environment
  • Be able to lift 30-50 lbs
  • Forklift certification is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to verbally communicate, read and comprehend written and verbal instructions in English
  • Available to work periodic mandatory weekends and overtime
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office programs- Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Adobe Acrobat

The employee may regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
