About Salesforce

We're Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too - driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good - you've come to the right place.

Slack is where work happens. The Slack Integrity team is focused on maintaining customer and user trust in and on Slack, so it can stay simple, pleasant, and productive! Maintaining trust in Slack means ensuring customers and users know Slack keeps them safe and privacy, data security, and safety are a core part of our company culture.

We are seeking a Director of Product Management to champion our trust and safety efforts. This role is an opportunity to create the vision for how we expand our existing safety and moderation features by leveraging new technology and leading practices to help our customers keep their workspaces safe and productive. It also means working with all Slack Product teams to help guide them on new features and capabilities.

We're looking for an experienced and passionate trust and safety product leader who is well versed in the complex and sensitive nature of this work and has deep technical expertise in development, deployment and measurement of T&S systems.

Slack has a positive, diverse, and supportive culture-we look for people who are curious, inventive, and work to be a little better every single day. In our work together we aim to be smart, humble, hardworking and, above all, collaborative.

What you will be doing:

  • Prototype, build and deliver Slack features and internal tooling related to safety, content moderation, as well as spam and abuse prevention.

  • Build and evolve the T&S strategy and roadmap aligned with policy, enforcement, and research across Slack and through partnership with the larger Salesforce org.

  • Collaborate with the rest of Slack Product & Engineering on the boldest new features.

  • Monitor trends in the trust and safety space to develop innovative features that bring relevant capabilities to Slack customers and meet evolving regulatory requirements.

  • Inspire leadership and cross-functional peers on our product vision and solutions, working collaboratively with engineering, design, research, and other PMs to drive work forward.

  • Implement at a fast pace with a focus on user experience, impact, and learning, making trade-offs, anticipating staffing needs, risks, and ensuring frequent and clear communication.

What you should have:

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience in trust and safety across consumer products or in the Enterprise landscape.

  • Experience in a large scale, global organization that requires multi-country approaches.

  • Proven track record of prototyping and launching products in ambiguous and evolving settings.

  • Deep understanding of trust and safety industry standards and ability to translate legal requirements into T&S software.

  • Sufficient technical domain expertise to drive alignment on technical requirements with anti-abuse and security stakeholders.

  • Experience developing or working with T&S systems that leverage machine learning model development and detecting unsafe content is a plus.

  • Customer empathy and product craft, with a strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, whether working with executives, cross-functional partners, or when mentoring peers.

  • Tolerance for ambiguity, creativity in strategy and execution tactics, and always improving the status quo and moving things forward.

  • You are a humble and collaborative teammate who believes that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Slack has a strong culture of senior individual contributors who make tremendous impact on the organization! We are looking for a product leader who is excited to define and build the future of Slack. Slack's Product, Design and Engineering org is remote-first with the option of working out of any Salesforce office.
