Genesis10 is currently seeking an Enterprise Cloud Architect with our client in the Utilities industry located in Dallas, TX. This is a for this 12+ month contract job opportunity.
Description:
This position is responsible for providing architectural leadership along with designing enterprise applications and public cloud architectures, primarily Amazon Web Services (AWS) solutions and assisting in the implementation of these solutions within the company's Technology Organization. This resource will be part of the Enterprise Architecture team with the Strategy & Architecture Capability of the Technology Organization, working across the organization & determining the needs of a range of business units and processes. The role requires strong communication and analytical skills to ensure the company has the right tools to be successful.
Additionally, this position works cooperatively with a team to develop concepts, strategies and tactical processes within changing grid operations and landscapes.

Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of Video Monitoring and Access Control systems
- Lead the development and enhancement of reference architecture patterns that make up the Enterprise Architecture and guiding principles for all cloud designs and implementations.
- Align Enterprise Architecture patterns to domain and/or program business strategy.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Technical Leads and Technical Staff to ensure that system designs, solutions and processes align to and support the Enterprise Architecture.
- Shape the Enterprise Architecture roadmap through the application of technology, domain/program, industry and organizational capability expertise.
- Drive implementation of large-scale enterprise programs ensuring alignment between Enterprise Architecture and program objectives.
- Manage the architecture of large domains ensuring Enterprise Architecture alignment for all programs, projects and initiatives that impact the cloud domain.
- Work with various CompanyTechnology Capabilities to produce and plan the Enterprise Architecture Strategies & Guidelines for areas including, but not limited to:
- Application Development (Cloud and On-premises Applications)
- Customer off the shelf application implementation and upgrades
- Design systems in server-less computing models, microservices & Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
- Design application data models and perform reviews of Solution Architecture artifacts
- Provide highly scalable, distributed, high performing, highly available, disaster recovery supported and robust architecture for applications of various languages like Java, .Net, JavaScript, Python etc.
- Cloud DevOps
- Containerization Platforms (Includes OpenShift on AWS, Azure & IBM Cloud etc.)
- Cloud Network Components (VPC, Subnets, Transit Gateway, Firewalls etc.)
- Cloud Storage Components (Relational, Non-Relational & Object Storage)
- Cloud Security Components (Security Policy Enforcements, IAM, Identity Federation etc.)
- Cloud Infrastructure Automation (Cloud Formation, Terraform etc.)
- Cloud based solution estimation.
Requirements:
- Minimum 14 or more years' experience in IT Application Development
- Minimum 7 years of experience in architecting application and solutions
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect.
- Advanced understanding of application development, source code management & devops practices.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience implementing cloud-based solutions based on AWS, IBM Cloud and Azure platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of IT risks, cyber security, and computer operating software
- Candidates should have excellent documentation, presentation, and mentoring skills.
