The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for accurate and timely inventory transactions (issuing and transferring material, cycle counting and auditing) related to the Bauer Norfolk headquarters as well as Bauer San Francisco and Bauer Michigan (Plastics Technology Group). The Inventory Control Clerk must maintain the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure data integrity is maintained throughout the facilities.
JOB FUNCTIONS Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.
Issue material to jobs.
Transfer material between locations systematically
Perform cycle counts of inventory, job parts, etc. as instructed by IC Specialist
Validate bills of material changes (BOMAFFS)
Responsible for data entry of physical inventory counts
Complete reconciliations of actual stock count to office records, or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory levels for review by IC Specialist.
May perform other routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting internal customers.
Regular and reliable attendance
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of one year (1) warehouse and/or administrative experience.
General understanding of Algebra/Mathematics.
Demonstrated experience in maintaining inventory records.
Process-oriented with analytical problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
General knowledge and understanding of radio frequency (RF) handheld scanners.
Self-motivated individual with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Sense of urgency with strong attention to detail.
VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Transactional experience with Made2Manage (M2M) a plus.
Manufacturing experience a plus.
APICS certification preferred.
