POSITION SUMMARY:

The PMO at Milliman, Global Corporate Services (GCS) is looking to add Senior Business Analyst within the department. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in facilitating business process mapping across the company related to the Business Transformation initiative.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure solutions provided meet the long-term business strategies.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, define, model, and document key business processes.
  • Coordinate with Business Transformation team key stakeholders to oversee operations processes mapping and requirements development.
  • Can analyze and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes.
  • Build a cooperative spirit and elicit maximum participation from each group member.
  • Manage large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager and extensive latitude for independent judgment.
  • Develop process improvements integrating new systems and processes with existing ones.
  • Assess available technologies and recommend solutions.
  • Coach, reviews, and delegates work as appropriate.
  • Mentor less-experienced team members.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • The ideal candidate must have previous experience working on large-scale projects, preferably experience with enterprise resource planning (e.g., financial management, human capital management, customer relationship management).
  • The ideal candidate must be a subject matter expert within the disciplines of process improvement, requirements development, and requirements prioritization for solution selection.
  • Must have played an active or lead role in preparing requirements documentation. Must have the ability to produce detail-level functional requirements documentation. Must be able to lead a functional requirement walk-through.
  • Must have a track record of successfully conducting needs assessments, facilitating mapping current and future state, identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement to assist in aligning business initiatives with future solutions.
  • Must have extensive experience working with stakeholders to understand the structure, policies, and operation of business operations.
  • Must be able to sense when a group is getting bogged down or off track and can redirect efforts. Must have the ability to assist team members in taking ownership of the process and outcomes.
  • Must have the ability to maintain dialogue in difficult situations.
  • Can use multiple techniques to validate that verbal messages are received as intended. Has a history of communicating effectively with technical and business staff.
  • Knows when to listen and use techniques to confirm understanding.
  • Must have experience working across multiple functional areas (e.g., Finance, HR, Accounting, Marketing) in complex business operations.
  • Must have a Future State mindset.
  • Must be proficient at abstract thinking and exploring new solutions based on new ideas.
  • Must have familiarity with multiple techniques for facilitating groups.
  • Must have the strong ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills & communication skills.
  • Must be able to speak extemporaneously, able to adapt tone and style to alternative audiences.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

  • Experience with enterprise transformation projects.
  • Master's Degree.

LOCATION:

This is a remote position. The expected application deadline for this job is June 30th, 2024.

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $173,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
