What You'll Be Doing

The Network Engineer is an integral member of our IT team, providing support for our servicing center, new loan origination system, and banking services. You'll leverage world-class technologies to enable us to deliver best-in-class mortgage products to customers nationwide. Day to day activities could include:

Strategy:

    • Improve incoming and outgoing configurations.
    • You will Implement a plan for backup and disaster recovery for infrastructure solutions.

Support:

    • You will install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components as well as resolve issues related to facilities bandwidth requirements and capacity planning.
    • You will monitor production, outputs, and services to ensure that SLAs, and other quality metrics are being met.

Projects:

    • You will follow agile portfolio management to implement projects, systems, and issues of medium to high complexity surrounding network planning, configuration, and optimization

Operations:

    • You will communicate with operational support teams to keep them informed of incident progress and notify them of impending changes or outages.

Process Improvements:

    • You'll schedule and coordinate corrective and routine maintenance on critical network, Disaster Recovery and voice systems with appropriate vendors, customers, and support organizations.

Security and Risk:

    • You'll perform network risk assessments, implement tech solutions, and assist with internal or external network security audits, Disaster Recovery testing, and maintenance.

Documentation:

    • Develops, reviews, and maintains technical documentation for product environments.

Qualified candidates will possess the following skills:

7 + years of relevant experience as a network engineer

Understanding of software defined networks (VeloCloud preferred)

Experience with scripting and automation (Terraform, Ansible, Shell preferred)

Experience with wireless networking and switching (Aruba, Palo Alto, and Juniper preferred)
