3 month contract


Looking to hire a Quality Engineer to join our Ejection Seating team in beautiful Miami Florida. This position will be the primary interface between Collins Aerospace and the customer with the focus on fostering a relationship, ensuring and improving quality performance, and supporting the Collins Aerospace operational goals including the manufacturing, inspection, and shipment of aviation products.
The Quality Engineer will lead teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions.
* Assess and disposition customer non-conformances.
* Review and approve First Article inspections. Perform product, process and work instruction audits
* Interface with various Engineering groups and Customer Support to resolve technical/quality issues related to engine manual repairs and other approved technical data
* Assist with Escape investigations within Business Units. Actively participate on plant wide team
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management, quality or closely related industrial environment, or an Associate's degree and 4 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management, quality or closely related industrial environment.
* In lieu of a degree, 4 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management, quality or closely related industrial environment
* U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred Qualifications:
* Demonstrated effective root cause determination skills (8D, Fault Tree, etc.)
* Ability to obtain, organize and analyze quality data
* Excellent computer skills
* Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
