Position Summary:

The Human Resources Director is directly responsible for the overall leadership, coordination and evaluation of the Human Resources function across the Syracuse campus (3 buildings). The position reports directly (functionally) to the Vice President of Human Resources and operationally into the Operations Leader for Syracuse. Key peer positions that the incumbent will work with include the HR Leaders across the Integrated Electronics region, Operations leadership across the Syracuse campus, as well as leaders of HR Centers of Excellence (COE's). The HR Leader will be directly responsible for the development, growth, and provide strategic direction to a team of HR professionals across the Syracuse campus.

The Human Resources Director will be responsible for leading and implementing human resources strategy for the build, management training, and staffing of a new manufacturing facility, while delivering HR strategic solutions and transformation initiatives in the existing locations. The incumbent will work directly with other regional peers to develop and implement innovative Human Resource solutions for the overall business. As part of 'One TTM', the Human Resources strategic plan will align with the business strategy and values while focusing on transformation initiatives in organizational development, organization planning, leadership development, succession planning, and employee relations.

The Human Resources Director will be provided with the mandate to deliver professional and timely Human Resources expertise closely tied to each business they support. This position will be supported by Corporate HR to include centers of expertise in total rewards, HR Technology, talent acquisition, learning and talent management; additionally supported by NA regional HR shared services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction in change leadership, organizational effectiveness, and talent management. Lead campus initiatives in talent, appeal, performance and other priority focus areas as prioritized by Syracuse leadership & Corporate HR.
  • As a cultural steward, lead the change initiatives that underpin the company culture through addressing concerns, highlighting successes and continually modelling the right behaviors.
  • As a member of the larger HR team, manage projects, communications, and peer collaborative efforts on strategy, key processes and special projects.
  • Support the Talent Management and Succession Planning process, with a focus on building a sustainable organization under the ONE TTM context. Actively develop, evaluate and mobilize talent.
  • Coach Leaders/Managers in the TTM Foundation which include values, Leadership Principles, as well as the key HR processes.
  • Drive, track and follow up to instill/reinforce a culture of responsiveness, accountability and customer centricity.
  • Coach HR team members, evaluate and share success practices, foster a strong collaborative team dynamic.
  • In concert with corporate HR, strengthen and standardize company HR policies, processes and activities to ensure compliance with legislative regulations, market best practices and TTM requirements.
  • Keep abreast of the labor market development including compensation and resources availability, and recommend effective means/programs to acquire, motivate and retain critical resources.
  • In partnership with talent acquisition, ensure staffing needs are proactively met, evaluated, and optimized to include service, delivery, quality, and cost.
  • Enthusiastically take on additional responsibilities that may be assigned by the Company from time to time.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of US & New York employment laws and their implications in HR management
  • Change agent / leader of change initiatives with strong business acumen
  • Project management expertise in organizing, planning, problems solving and delivering against plan and budget
  • Microsoft office suite - Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Adobe and Visio are widely used
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of Executive/Senior staff and clients. Professional facilitation skills
  • Collaborative style, with excellent teamwork.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with self-driven personality.
  • High level of integrity and courage to challenge the status quo and to drive change.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to exercise judgement in decision making
  • A hands on individual with strong interpersonal and motivational skills who is also a self-starter, accomplished doer, and highly energetic. This is a "player-coach" type of role that will require this executive to be both strategic and tactical.

Required Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Professional certification by either the Human resources Certification Institute (HRCI) or Society for Human resources Management (SHRM) strongly preferred

Experience: 10+ years of handling full-spectrum of HR disciplines in a high growth manufacturing environment; experience leading complex operations and a team of HR professionals; Aerospace and Defense industry experience preferred; strong experience in employee relations; experience working in a matrixed environment and partnership with HR Centers of Excellence

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$125,504 - $220,713

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
